Craps Systems
The dream of every Craps player is to use the winnings from previous wagers (the casinos money)
to win even more. Here are some press-up strategies that attempt to do this:
The Level Press is a low risk system of using your winnings to win more. Success using this
system can be achieved with as little as two rolls.
Assume you make a $12 Place bet on the 8 (6 and 8 have the greatest chance of the place
numbers of being thrown - it pays 7 to 6) if you win your payoff is $14. Once the shooter has
the Point you make your Place bet on the eight and use the following system;
| 1st win Win $14 Keep $ 2 |
Press to $24 |
| 2nd win Win $28 Keep $28 |
Stay at $24 |
If the shooter sevens out after this you lose your $24 bet. You have winnings of $30, a loss of
$24 and a net gain of $6. If the shooter continues to throw eights then you win even more.
The Slow Press system adds the gains from your original bet in order to increase your winnings.
In order for this system to work you need the shooter to throw your number a minimum of four
times. You are risking more but your potential winnings are larger.
Assume you make a $12 Place bet on the 8 (6 and 8 have the greatest chance of the place numbers
of being thrown - it pays 7 to 6) if you win your payoff is $14. Once the shooter has the Point
you make your Place bet on the eight and use the following system;
| 1st win |
Win $14 |
Keep $ 2 |
Press to $24 |
| 2nd win |
Win $28 |
Keep $ 4 |
Press to $48 |
| 3rd win |
Win $56 |
Keep $44 |
Press to $60 |
| 4th win |
Win $70 |
Keep $70 |
Stay at $60 |
If the shooter sevens out after this you lose your $60 bet. You have winnings of $120, a loss of
$60 and a net gain of $60. If the shooter continues to throw eights then you win even more.
The Slow to Level Press is a combination of the above systems. For this system to work you need
to win a minimum of three times. You risk more than in the slow press but less than in the level
press, but your potential winnings are greater.
Assume you make a $12 Place bet on the 8 (6 and 8 have the greatest chance of the place numbers of being thrown - it pays 7 to 6) if you win your payoff is $14. Once the shooter has the Point you make your Place bet on the eight and use the following system;
| 1st win |
Win $14 |
Keep $ 2 |
Press to $24 |
| 2nd win |
Win $28 |
Keep $ 4 |
Press to $48 |
| 3rd win |
Win $56 |
Keep $56 |
Stay at $48 |
If the shooter sevens out after this you lose your $48 bet. You have winnings of $62, a loss
of $48 and a net gain of $14. If the shooter continues to throw eights then you win even more.
For example if the shooter throws a fourth eight you win $118, lose $48 and have a gain of $70.
This more than you would have made using the slow press strategy ($70 vs. $60), but you only
need the shooter to throw three eights to make a profit ($14 vs. -$10).
